Lynne has worked with various bands
over the years in the UK, the Caribbean and the US. Her last band,
The Lynne Butler Band, was a six piece Bluegrass band based here
in the UK for which she was the lead vocalist and the band performed
at all the major Bluegrass festivals in the UK and Europe. Still
occasionally singing with 'The Lynne Butler Band' she has now gone
solo and many privately booked parties e.g., garden parties but
now is putting together a show to go on the road performing a varied
selection of songs from originals to covers, from country to popular,
blues to bluegrass.
An accomplished guitarist, Lynne has also recently taken up the
banjo. She has also written and produced three albums with bluegrass
instrumentation - one of which is aimed at children which appears
to be the first of its kind in the UK. Her third album 'Talk to
the Face' is due in February - keep an eye on her myspace profile
page for details. Talk to the Face is an album with a blend of lighthearted,
humourous songs and soulful ballads.
Lynne also runs weekly local music clubs for pre-school children
'Music Makers' and holds regular music sessions for children and
adults with learning difficulties often on a one to one basis.
