Jonny has been a country music artist since the late 1980s - firstly as a member of the rockabilly band The Mercury's and then as a solo artist. His music is steeped in the roots of traditional country music.

Jonny performs well over 200 shows a year and readers of Cross Country Magazine voted him Solo Artist of the Year for two years running in 2005 and 2006.
